Climate Change Action Pack

About the Climate Change Action Pack

Elementary teachers have told us that they require hands-on, easy to follow lesson plans and activities that are curriculum based. Our kit directly addresses these needs. The Action Pack addresses the units of weather, habitat and adaptation, and energy, all of which are part of the Atlantic Canada Science Curriculum. With its numerous cross-curriculum links, the kit also addresses global studies, geography, history, and components of social studies as well as the math and language arts curriculum. The kit is flexible enough to use in any grade 4-6 classroom. Extension activities are included as well as information sheets on other existing programs and projects. Some of our partners offered lesson plans and extension activities, including Destination Conservation, PlantWatch, Oasis, Globe, the Climate Change Calculator, and Project Wild.
